POLICIES
Cancellations
We use your booking to plan availability for others. When you book, we reserve exclusive time for you and your pet(s) and most likely turned away other pets for that time period; hence our cancellation policy is as follows:
Boarding
A 50% deposit is required when booking a boarding stay. A minimum of seven days' cancellation notice is required for all boarding clients. If less than seven days' notice is given, Mainely Hounds LLC reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the boarding rate. If cancellation is made within 48 hours or less of scheduled boarding, Mainely Hounds LLC reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the boarding rate. Deposits become a credit on your account toward future bookings if proper notice of cancellation is given. Credit must be used within one year of canceled service date. Mainely Hounds LLC does not offer credits or refunds for early pickup.
Vaccinations
We require Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Leptospirosis vaccinations as well as proof of flea and tick medication. Canine influenza is not required but is highly recommended. You will be asked to sign a Veterinary Documentation Release Form to obtain copies from your veterinarian’s office. Current vaccine records must be uploaded to Time to Pet app and kept up to date.
All dogs must be vaccinated a minimum of 48 hours, but preferably one week, prior to attending dog camp or boarding. All dogs must be in good health, free of any condition that could potentially jeopardize other guests, including fleas and ticks. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable disease in the last 30 days will require a note from your veterinarian to be readmitted.
While vaccinations are helpful in preventing the spread of disease, they do not provide 100 percent protection. We do our best to ensure all areas and items are kept as sanitary as possible; however, we cannot completely prevent all illnesses. If we notice any sign of illness from any of the pets in our care, owners will be notified and pets must be picked up immediately.
Emergencies
In the case of an emergency, Mainely Hounds LLC will make every attempt to contact the primary owner, secondary owner or emergency contact listed. If no contact can be reached, Mainely Hounds LLC will seek appropriate medical care depending on the type and severity of incident. Mainely Hounds LLC assumes no responsibility for the loss or injury of any pet(s) and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment and expenses.
Payments
Mainely Hounds LLC requires payment in full before services commence unless otherwise noted. We offer flexible payment options including Cash, Check, Credit/Debit cards, ACH transfer or Apple Pay. Payments will be processed through the Time to Pet app. Regardless of payment preference, a credit/debit card is required to be maintained as a backup source of payment. If payment for services is not made prior to or on date of service, one reminder will be given via e-mail; if payment is still not received by start of next business day, we reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card automatically at midnight of that same day for the amount due.
Illnesses
For the safety of all dogs here at Mainely Hounds LLC, we ask that you please contact us prior to coming to camp or boarding if your dog is experiencing or showing any of the following signs:
Vomiting
Diarrhea or Change in Urination
Excessive Eye Goop
Fever
Dramatic Change in Appetite/Unexplained Weight Loss
Signs of Pain or Limping, Lameness
Difficulty Breathing
Confusion, Staggering, or Collapse
Dramatic Change in Behavior
Injuries
We take even the smallest injury seriously. Please report any cuts or injuries before dropping your dog off for services for documentation purposes as well as to prevent any further injury. Your dog’s health and safety are our main priority, and while all activity is supervised, dogs will be dogs, and occasional nips or scratches will occur. Be assured that you will be informed immediately if your dog receives an injury while in our care. If by chance we happen to miss any injury please bring it to our attention as soon as you notice it so we can figure out what happened and if treatment is needed.
Weather & Unexpected Closures
In the event we need to cancel dog camp or boarding services last minute due to circumstances beyond our control, payments already made will be applied as a credit toward future services.
